To support our ongoing growth, we are looking for a motivated Junior Electronics Engineer to join our multidisciplinary R&D team in Venlo. You will play an important role in maintaining and upgrading our high-tech hardware, including AI-based video processing systems and motion control systems, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of the security and defense industry.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Development: Perform schematic entry and PCB layout updates for camera and motor control systems. Execute design updates to address component obsolescence or design refinements.

  • Cable & Harness Design: Design and document high-reliability cable harnesses for electrical & optical interfaces like MIPI, SDI, SPI, CAN, RS-232, Ethernet and power distribution, ensuring compliance with the requirements.

  • Component Library Management: Create and maintain standardized schematic symbols and 3D PCB footprints, ensuring for early-stage DFM (Design for Manufacturing).

  • Lab Work: Build and debug functional models and prototypes. Use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to troubleshoot and verify signal integrity, power stability, and functional performance.

  • Compliance Support: Assist in test execution and documentation for military standards, specifically MIL-STD-810 (environmental) and MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC).

  • Documentation: Define verification test cases and deliver test reports and create test instructions in close alignment with EMS partners.

  • Test Automation: Develop and run Python based scripts to automate hardware verification.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (1-3 years of experience).

  • Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of analog/digital circuit fundamentals and PCB design principles with EDA tool experience (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD).

  • Hands-on Mindset: Proactive attitude toward laboratory testing and hardware debugging.

  • Communication: Strong team player with a solution-driven attitude and fluency in English.

  • Academic (or hobby) exposure to FPGA-based video systems or motion control systems.

  • Software Skills: Familiarity with SW drivers, control registers and Python for basic test automation.

  • Mechanical Skills: Affinity with 3D CAD tools for harness routing and enclosure fit-checks.
